ABOUT ME

Recording artist, performer and producer, Jaiveer’s musical journey started on his grandmother’s piano, when he was four. Self-taught on the guitar, he works on a range of music including, hip-hop, RnB, Indie, pop and alternative genres. Jaiveer’s live performances and releases reflect his personal journey. His music can be found under J.A.I.V on the popular music streaming platforms including Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon Music. Jaiveer is guided by the philosophy that music is a universal language which transcends boundaries and disparity and connects individuals in a way that no other medium can.

Family values, collaboration and social commitment define Jaiveer’s engagement with the wider community. Towards this end Mentoring Through Music conceived by him in 2018 has aimed to spread joy through music to students and the elderly whose lives have been adversely impacted by unfortunate circumstances. Jaiveer has been the youngest author for The Daily Guardian, a widely read online newspaper, where his monthly column On The Beat provided musical recommendations across a variety of genres.  He has also authored a children’s story titled Earth A Planet Called Home. This has been a special project for him as his grandmother is the illustrator and working together, they have bought this imaginative story to life. Jaiveer has also volunteered to anchor the children’s online news channel Igraasp once a month. Recipient of the prestigious King Constantine Medal, The Diana Award and the EARCOS Global Citizenship Award and EARCOS Grant; Jaiveer has been honoured for his committment to engagement and action in improving the lives of others and making the world a better place. Mentoring Through Music has subsequently been featured in The Triannual EARCOS Journal Fall Issue 2021.

Moving from The Doon School, Dehradun, where he spent his formative years, to The British School New Delhi, in 2018, Jaiveer has been a student of the International Baccalaureate Diploma. As President of The British School and Founder of The British School Music Club & Band Jaiveer aimed to inculcate an inclusive culture that fostered empathy and creativity. He is continuing his musical journey at The University of Cambridge through his undergraduate degree in BA (Hons) Music. Recognised as a choral scholar by the University, Jaiveer is an involved member of the Fitzwilliam College Choir. 

Earth A Planet Called Home

Earth A Planet Called Home, is a story about an alien who lives on Corbo far away in the 50th galaxy. Upon receiving strange signals on hi tech gadgets from planet Earth, he decides to embark on a journey that will change his life forever. While the journey through 49 other galaxies and shimmering planets is an exciting one, he is not prepared for his spaceship to crash land in the middle of a graveyard on Earth! From here on, “Jazz” the Corbian learns about a way of life that is unknown yet familiar to him. Where will Jazz finally find a home? Will he stay, or will he repair his spaceship and head back to Corbo? Read on to find out in this heartwarming story filled with adventure, love and importantly, hope. This is a special story written by Jaiveer and illustrated by his grandmother. What greater testament can there be of love and that special bond that defines us as human beings. . All proceeds from sales will go towards “Mentoring Through Music” so that Jaiveer may continue to create spaces for musical recreation for young students.
